Teen Athlete with Piriformis Syndrome from Mom’s Perspective

It was hard for Jamie to see her young, athletic daughter Sarah suffer an injury that left her with horrible back and sciatica pain. The pain mystified the highly touted surgeons in their hometown of Atlanta.

Luckily, Sarah’s stepmom had a similar pain problem that led her to Dr. Tim Tollestrup, a pain-focused Peripheral Nerve Surgeon in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Just like he has done for hundreds of patients from all over the world, Dr. Tollestrup removed Sarah’s Piriformis Muscle.

Now she is back to bubbly Sarah, much to her mom’s relief.

Jamie gives her perspective and offers advice for parents of young athletes who can’t get answers.
