Peripheral Nerve Damage in Kids and Teens

Peripheral nerve injuries in kids and teens often go undiagnosed which can lead to prolonged pain and suffering.
As Dr. Tollestrup explains, most in the medical community are not knowledgeable about peripheral nerves and would not consider looking for this problem in younger people.
But the rule of thumb for peripheral nerve damage remains the same. If the patient has searched for answers, can’t find any and the imaging is clear, most likely there is a peripheral nerve injury.
