Transcript: This goes back again to what is the cause of your pain. If you’re dealing with peripheral nerve pain, then unfortunately you can take all the pain medication in the world and that usually doesn’t give very good relief. If somebody is taking a lot of pain medication that has a peripheral nerve problem, surgery typically takes that pain away. And once the pain is gone, anybody can wean off whatever narcotics or other pain medication that they’re taking and be free of having to take those types of medicines.
